Our Team
Becky Passner
For as long as she can remember, Becky has loved stories in all their forms. Having performed since childhood, she began writing scripts in college and discovered a new passion. She earned her B.A. in Broadcasting and Digital Media at Campbell University before continuing on to complete a M.S. in Communication at North Carolina State University. She currently works as a marketing specialist while directing various theater works on the side.
Kaylee Long
Kaylee grew up on the stage and began writing music as a child. After earning her B.A. from The King’s College NYC, she stayed in New York where she works as the Manager of Music & Materials at Broadway Licensing. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate certificate in Composing from The Juilliard School. She’s grateful to be a not-so-starving artist and to blend her love of writing, composing, directing, and performing across all areas of her life.
The P&L Team
Becky and Kaylee met as young students at a local theater in North Carolina. After spending a year determined to dislike each other, they of course became the best of friends.
Many years, small town musical theater appearances, and movie-marathons later, Becky had the brilliant idea to write a musical script adaptation of the classic Lew Wallace novel, Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ. She enlisted Kaylee to write the music and lyrics, and thus Passner&Long was forged—a natural, creative extension of a lasting friendship. The duo enjoys working together to craft stories of beauty, truth, and humanity both through musical adaptations of classic tales and through original works.
